A new chapter for fans of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World has begun today.

Warner Bros. Pictures announced this morning that principal photography on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them began today August 17 at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden facility, outside of London. The all new adventure is set in the same wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling in her best-selling Harry Potter books, which were adapted into the highest-grossing film franchise of all time.

Along with the announcement the studio confirmed a few actors that have joined the cast of the new film series. Actor Ezra Miller will play a character named Credence, Jenn Murray will be Chastity, Samantha Morton joins as Mary Lou and 10 year-old newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove will play Modesty.

Other previously confirmed cast members include leading man Eddie Redmayne, playing Newt Scamander; Katherine Waterston and Aliuson Sudol bringing sisters Tina and Queenie Goldstein to life; and Dan Fogler as Jacob.

The first film in the will-be-trilogy is scheduled to be released on November 18, 2016, marking J.K. Rowling’s screenwriting debut. It is being produced by David Heyman, producer of all eight Potter films; J.K. Rowling; Steve Kloves; and Lionel Wigram.

Finally, WB revealed a few of the names that will be collaborating with David Yates behind the scenes: Oscar-winning director of photography Philippe Rousselot (Sherlock Holmes movies), three-time Oscar-winning production designer Stuart Craig (Harry Potter films), three-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (Alice in Wonderland), Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Tim Burke (Harry Potter films), Oscar-nominated visual effects supervisor Christian Manz (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1), and Yates’ longtime editor Mark Day (the last four Harry Potter films).
